Grayhound bus Lines started in 1914 provides the largest intercity communication across Northern America. It provides safe, affordable and relishing journey to most of the passengers each year can be better described as US icon. It thus provides a long ranged bus service and is the cheapest mode of transportation in United States.

Greyhound services offer the same-day price value as well as next-day early delivery to many destinations. Greyhound buses also offer packages for schools, conventions and businesses at very low rates. In US they have operating subsidiaries that are part of their network. Additionally these buses have interconnected partnerships with various other bus lines in United States that provides complementary service for Greyhound buses and in the greyhound's national route; they also connect to smaller towns. Grayhound bus lines provide transportation services to passengers for journey in Canada also. Passengers travelling with Amtrak also use these buses for connecting to the cities that are not connected through railways by Amtrak services. Passengers can buy the bus ticket directly from the bus station or they can buy the ticket for the connecting bus from Amtrak only while buying the rail ticket.

Because of the level of price, usually low quality people ride on these buses and in most of the cases the surroundings of the bus stations are not safe from the public safety point of view. One can say in short that if there are other modes available to travel one need not ride the gray hound buses. As in most of the cases, the bus drivers are quite unfriendly and also safety matters a lot. Even the long journeys become very exhausting as for journeys of 3-4 days the bus stops only few times in a day. One can instead go for the Amtrak trains as they are more refreshing and fun to ride on along with that trains provide better safety and good economic class to the passengers travelling their ways. But if one is left with no other choice, gray hound bus lines are the last option and the only thing good about it that they are cheap.
