Charter Busses
|
Charter busses are different from the usual public transport busses because they do not follow a specific or pre-determined route. Charter busses are busses that were commissioned by an organization or a person to transport passengers to specific destinations of their choosing. These busses are mostly privately-owned and feature well-maintained amenities that are not usually available to the public busses such as good interiors and seats, good air conditioning, audio and video entertainment systems, to name a few. These amenities were provided to help make the trip more comfortable and pleasing to the passengers. Bus Rental companies would either charge a flat rate rental fee for charter busses. Others would charge a fee based on the distance of the destination or mileage. The rental would include the services of a professional bus driver that is specially-trained in driving large vehicles and has license to transport a large number of passengers. Companies would rather acquire rental services of charter busses for their company trips such as a seminars, conventions or field trips because these are more cost-efficient and economical than buying a bus on their own, which will entail high maintenance and insurance cost. The bus rental companies would take care of that by factoring a percentage of the cost to the rental fee.
There are other reasons to hiring charter busses. A group of tourists can rent a small charter bus for their sight-seeing expeditions. It's a faster and cheaper alternative if you will look at the individual fare and fuel costs. A family going on a trip can hire a mini bus to take them to the airport instead of driving their cars themselves. These busses can also be hired to transport people who have no other means of travelling, such as persons with disabilities. Famous rock bands or celebrities would hire these busses whenever they go on tour, either inter-city or inter-state. There are a numerous companies especially in urban areas offering charter bus services. Before deciding on one Bus Rental company, be sure to check their rates, ask if they charge by flat rates or by mileage. Ask if there are any discounts as well to cut on cost. Know what amenities they have. Check their track record; choose a company that has the least number of bus mishaps or accidents. In the interest of passenger safety, ask if they have any insurance coverage as well. Make a good choice and make the trip worthwhile. |
